This event was held in London and online on Monday, 13 May 2024. It explored the impact, challenges, and potential of AI for the fashion industry
Introduction
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been disrupting all industries and professional sectors. Fashion is no exception.
Fashion Law London was proud to host an event fully devoted to exploring the impact, challenges, and potential of AI for the fashion industry from a commercial, legal, and policy standpoint.
Held on Monday, 13 May 2024, this event offered a forum of discussions led by key thinkers in the fashion and legal worlds, which did serve you to tackle all things AI from a fresh perspective and equip participants with the knowledge and confidence needed to comprehend and drive effectively the change prompted by this unprecedented technological revolution.
Topics
The event consisted of 3 main blocks:
- Block 1 maped uses of AI in fashion, having regard to both predictive and generative AI;
- Block 2 explored the intellectual property (IP) dimension of AI in fashion, considering (i) liability for the training phase; (ii) liability for the use of AI tools in fashion; and (iii) protectability of AI-generated fashion outputs;
- Block 3 was devoted to the regulatory, commercial, and data protection/privacy dimension. Among other things, it considers regulatory efforts around the globe, including the EU AI Act, and the applicability of the EU and UK data protection/privacy frameworks to AI development.
